Styrkr (pronounced Stirker) caught my eye in a local bike shop. I was training for the Ratrace Coast To Coast challenge (a one-hundred-mile coast-to-coast challenge involving running, cycling, and kayaking, all in one day). I was looking for edible energy that would be gentle on the stomach. I used two Bar50s and more than a few Gel30s during the challenge, with and without caffeine. I was sold.
No gut issues to speak of, and more importantly, the bars made me feel like I was eating something great. They taste amazing and are really moreish. From then on, I’ve always got a few stashed away in a bag or the glove box for that dash to the gym or back from the office when you’re stuck and need a boost.
